Greenhouse Center

The Tibbetts Family Farm greenhouses are located at the corners of the Clarks Woods and South Waterboro Roads in Lyman Maine. Since we grow our own plants, we can offer you a wider selection of varieties than you might find elsewhere. In May, you will find our greenhouses full of vegetable seedlings, cutting annuals and herbs. You may choose from old-fashioned heirlooms or more modern disease resistant hybrids.

Most importantly- please don’t be afraid to ask us questions! Gardening is a large investment of your time and money and we would like to do everything we can to make it as successful and enjoyable as possible.

We offer custom planting, and you are welcome to bring your planters to us, and we will fill them with dirt, flowers and love! Each planter or arrangement is priced on the spot!

We also offer planting consultations. Tell us what you are looking for (shade/sun, size, water availability) and we will fill your mind with great ideas!

Bulk compost is available at our location for your convenience.
We also have our 50/50 planting mix, loam and bark mulch.
You can BYOB (Bring Your Own Bucket), or we can easily load 1/2 yard increments in to the back of your truck or on your trailer. 

All materials are also available during greenhouse season for delivery. Minimum delivery 2 yards.

​We offer custom growing as well! If you have a large garden, or if you sell your own seedlings, we are willing to help with that! Talk with any one of our employees for more information!

Beef & Lamb

Jonathan has worked for many years to build a beautiful Angus/Simmental beef herd. He works hard to understand the animal husbandry aspect of the business, and is careful in his choice of bulls. He often sells yearlings, and bred heifers. 

The animals are raised in a free stall barn, and on pasture during the warm months. The bulls are hand fed, and kept with their ladies throughout the season. All the cows live a happy, healthy life.

Tibbetts Farm does not use any growth hormones, or additives in the beef. We have many partnerships across the state with small breweries, and we hay over 800 acres to make sure out beef cows have the best feed and forage!

If you are interested in purchasing a side of beef, make sure to call us in January, they go fast!

One of our newest venture at the farm is Solar Grazing our flock of 100+ Khatadin Sheep. Our goal is to use the sustainable plan to give our animals the best feed, while also filling a need that the solar companies have. 

Eventually we hope to have the opportunity to raise some sheep for meat, sell market lambs and partner with local 4-H groups.

Hay

We offer custom haying, custom spreading and hay for sale. Contact us for information if you are interested in having us hay your ground, or if you are looking to buy.

We offer dry hay, square and round, as well as wrapped hay and baylage.
